So, having no internet @ my mom's sucks butt.
And life has been hectic as hell lately and there's a whole lot of crap going on here (@ my dad's) that I didn't realize, that's gonna drive me crazy. So, I'll start with that:
I never posted about it, but about a month ago my grandpa blacked out in their front yard and no one knows why. When he fell he cracked a few ribs and they rushed him to the hospital in an ambulance. All the tests aren't showing anything so that's making everyone a lot more worried. So, I get here today and find out he fell down the stairs and seriously hurt both his ankles. So I mean he's really not doin too well right now and it's just got me really worried. Top that off with the fact that my grandma (in TN) is getting sick again. But we're going to take her to a new Dr as soon as we get there next week and find out what the hell is going on. So all I can really do right now is hope and pray that my grandparents get better.
And let's see, yesterday was quite the fiasco. It's a long story but here goes: My freak neighbors have this big doberman named Nigel ( I know, it's a fierce name). Well, I had no tests yesterday so I was home all day and was outside with Chopper a lot playing with him and stuff. And I notcied that Nigel had been out there all day long. Earlier in the morning when we went out there, he'd bark a lot like usually. But I noticed as the day went on (towards 3 in the afternoon) he was completely quiet. It looked like he was asleep on the ground. Around that time the lady who lives behind us, Lu, walked over to our yard and said she had called the Dog Warden about Nigel because he'd been out like that all day with no shelter and no water in that heat. So within a couple of minutes the Warden was there. I went over to help her since I know the dog decently well and everything. Then we saw what had really happened to him. He'd dug himself a hole, about 2 and 1/2 feet deep and backed himself into it to get cool. Well all that work in the heat caused him to have a sun stroke. He was completely unresponsive and wasn't respoding to water we were dribbing in his mouth. So the Warden called for the police to come help and she asked me to call the fire department. After all the calls her and I went to try and life him out, but he wasn't budging. So the cops got there about 10 mins later and got a shovel and had to dig him out. It took 3 of 'em to lift him out. They layed him on the grass and he still wasn't moving, his eyes were open but they were all glazed over. So one of the cops hosed him down for about a half hour, but he was cooling off too quickly and staretd convulsing (sp?) and that's probably one of the scariest things I've ever seen in my life. So, a little while later they rolled him onto a tarp and moved him into the front yard into the shade. About 10 mins later the kids got off the bus. Brett and Mandy went into our house while I finished up with the cops and everything, but the 2 neighbor kids (who are 9 and 6) had no one home, and their dad wouldn't be home for at least another half hour. And this happens everyday. So there 2 kids are home all alone for at least a half hour to an hour every single day. And I honestly wouldn't mind babysitting them til their dad gets home, but he always says no and makes them stay in their house till he gets there. So, needless to say, this looked really bad to the cops. So, their dad finally got home and as soon as he saw the cops he called his lawyer. One of the cops was saying that they have to be really worried about people who call their lawyers like that without first finding out what's going on. So after his phone call he looks over and sees his dog flopped out on the ground and he had like no reaction. Then he looked at me and Lu and gave us the worst look you can possible imagine. And he came over to pet the dog a couple of times before the cops asked him to step back so they could question him. The Head of the SPCA got there and took some pictures then took Nigel to the vet. After that the cops took down some info from Lu and I and then they left. A few hours later the wacko neighbors were back from the SPCA and they started asking me a million questions about what I told the cops and blah blah blah. They were pissed cuz no one would tell them where their dog was. Apparently they aren't being charged with animal cruelty (which is such bullshit) but I highly highly doubt they'll get Nigel back. But, assuming he makes it through all this, the poor thing probably won't ever be adopted out because he doesn't know how to react to humans, he doesn't know how to play or anything. So who knows what's gonna happen there.
Today has been a great day. We had an early b-day party for Brett since we'll be in TN on his real birthday. So we had a pool party for him and had a few kids from school over. After that I went over to Shawn's for a few hours to swim and stuff (after his mom invited me the other night
) and I had tons of fun over there. Left around 8:30 to get here in time.
And it's almost officially SUMMER. Woot! I've got 2 more test this week (USH and Chem) and I had the Math B Thursday (which I MAY have passed with like a 67). And I leave for TN next Saturday (the 24th) and I'll be workin back @ Aunt Granny's by the 27th. I'm excited, this is gonna be the last year I get to go to TN and stay for 6 weeks, and work is so much fun. I'm gonna miss everyone here, but I'm excited for summer (same deal as last year, I'm happy but sad at the same time
)
Well, I think that's all from here... I need to go relieve this sunburn
. I won't be able to update again till I'm in Tennessee. So have a great week everyone, and I'll catch ya next time from the big TN.
